How to Begin

All sessions are by interview/audition only.

    - Potential students will be given a script to read. Ms. Fournier will
evaluate and give direction followed by feedback to determine
the student’s needs and level of ability.

    - Sessions meet weekly, determined by Ms. Fournier’s availability
      and individual’s schedule.

    - The studio is closed for holidays and special events.

    - Students are expected to attend every session, only missing for
jobs or illness. This studio is not recommended for individuals
who haven’t the time to put in the work.

Sessions are $50.00 for 1 ½ hours or 4 sessions for $175.00, payable in advance.

    - Students will be provided with materials: scripts, monologues,
      or commercial copy.

    - Students will learn how to choose material suited to their level
      of experience and casting type.

    - Students will be expected to continually work outside of
      sessions to hone their craft.

    - Homework is the key to progress.

    - Students training for TV and film work will be videotaped and
      critiqued during sessions.

“Ms. Fournier has such a grasp of the craft of acting, it is impossible not to encounter discovery after discovery from minute one.  She doesn’t lecture, line read, or preach the techniques of others.  She gets it from the only source you should trust.  You!”

“Chrissy gave me my first break in theatre after high school when she cast me in her production of West Side Story.  That was the beginning of a wonderful relationship. She gave me encouragement and guidance in my desire to move to New York to follow my dreams. Those dreams came true for me. Although I changed my direction from acting, I became a successful photographer and businesswoman. I owe much of that to Chrissy; she has been my director, my mentor and my friend for over 30 years!”

Working with Christine Fournier in the dance program at the University of MN, and watching her work with our students in reconstructing original choreography from West Side Story, was a delight.  She was always organized, and professional in her approach.  She was as demanding as the material was, but at the same time was nurturing and understood the different strengths and weaknesses among the dancers.  Her knowledge of the material, in the actual choreography, as well as the acting and performance demands was clear.  Christine clearly knew how to motivate, energize, and get the best quality from each student.  She had a way of making them want to strive for excellence, which they all did.  To this day Christine still mentors some of those students, which speaks volumes about her teaching skills, and her outstanding professionalism in the field.
